Jackie Evancho, Susan Boyle, I don't care how old they are, it's can they sing
aw come on, how can you not love that voice from that little body
this is probably the only time in my life I would listen to a Jackie Evancho album
so I figured, go for it
yes I had heard her before, but not an album
such a beautiful voice
not something I would buy though

Like Hayley Westenra, Charlotte Church, and Sarah Brightman, soprano Jackie Evancho operates in the classical
crossover realm. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native (who also plays violin and piano) wowed both the judges and the
audience during the fifth season of Americaâs Got Talent. Evancho began taking vocal lessons in 2008 at the age of
eight. By 2010, she had already breezed through a local singing contest, started her own YouTube channel, released
an album, and held the record as the world's youngest opera singer. Her independent debut, Prelude to a Dream, was
released in 2009, followed by the holiday EP/DVD O Holy Night, the latter of which arrived via Columbia Records. In
spring 2011, Evancho released Dream with Me, her full-length (non-seasonal) debut, which was produced by David
Foster and featured a mix of arias, show tunes, and pop classics. Jackie Evancho: Dream with Me in Concert, a live
performance of the songs that first captured the hearts of her audiences, along with new classical crossover
selections, followed that fall. Released just a few months after Dream with Me, the ten-track Heavenly Christmas
revisited the yuletide splendor of 2009's O Holy Night.

Prolific, Pittsburgh-based, 12-year-old vocalist (and classical crossover powerhouse) Jackie Evancho's fourth studio
album, the 12-track Songs from the Silver Screen, eschews the usual assortment of carefully timed holiday classics
and goose bump-inducing arias for a set of celluloid favorites. Evancho's effortless and expressive voice lends
itself well to the project, which offers up renditions of some of Hollywood's most iconic tunes, including "Pure
Imagination" (Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory), "The Music of the Night" (The Phantom of the Opera), "Can You
Feel the Love Tonight" (The Lion King), "Some Enchanted Evening (South Pacific), and, of course, "My Heart Will Go
On" (Titanic). Arranged by Bill Ross and produced by Ross and longtime David Foster collaborator Humberto Gatica,
Songs from the Silver Screen finds Evancho more than up to the task, displaying maturity, poise, and a sincere love
for the genre.
