Hey, over the past few years ive really been stuck on and been loving listening to allan holdsworth and bill evans especially i would say those two might be my top two, actually its a three way tie with monk but bird and miles and trane kinda all are equally great as well i can be just as happy listening to any of these musicians. but i was just listening to bill evans on two tracks that he did with tony bennett and they are from his later period right around 1980 and its just superb something about it is so incredibly beautiful. thinking about that makes me think of monk too, so i would probably say and i keep coming back to saying this that my three favorites are monk, bill evans, and allan holdsworth all equally tied. i also really love the compositions of steve hunt too

Welcome aboard MD, Mattius ! So you're a big jazz piano fan ! I am familiar with Thelonius Monk and of course Bill Evans. Know of Allan Holdsworth but never heard him. I have no idea about Steve Hunt !..another jazz pianist I presume ?

I like Cecil Taylor, very wild improv avant garde and of course Keith Jarrett ...especially the Kohn Concerts !!!!

Chic Corea, Art Lande, Jason Moran, Brad Mehldau, ......and the jazz legends like Oscar Peterson, Art Tatum and McCoy Tyner.
The ultimate connection is between a performer and its' audience!
