hi everyone, originally from Toronto, but now working here in Shenzhen, China.
looking back, i liked the types of music that all my friends liked, except in my university days when i actively searched for new tunes.
i didn't like myself between 18-24 when i listened to stuff i thought would make me seem cool...
i think music should be what you truly enjoy, not what you think feed one's approval addiction.
overall, i think i'm pretty mainstream.
throughout the years i keep coming back to artists like: miles davis, bach, natalie merchant, miyuki nakajima, etc.
look forward to meeting everyone. (well not everyone, that would be...um...impossible)

Welcome chamightlike! What sort of stuff did you listen to between 18-24 that you thought would make you seem cool? Just curious

It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary

@TraceNspace: good question, I recall being very snobby and trying to get my hands on the latest underground house music. also i went through my Coltrane phase. I told everyone i was into him and that he was a genius, but it was an act. Didn't really get it. Same way, I can't get into Miles Davis' more experimental stuff like Bitch's Brew...I like his more accessible stuff like Kind of Blue. i try to be less pretentious now hahah
