I am new here! Usually I'm a big fan of pop/r&b/hip hop and I used to love top 40, but everything is beginning to sound alike.. i feel like i'm hearing the same songs over and over again!! And melodies these days of top 40 are really lacking! I miss the old 80s madonna and michael jackson days.
I'm starting listening to more indie pop and it's definitely refreshing. Lately, I just got into this new artist Gianna Knight. Any other suggestions?

Welcome.
Stop listening to pop music only. It melts your brain.

Man it is true in what you write. I have been feeling the same regarding pop for the last couple of years, and as TRBC08 said. I have stopped listening to pop and opened my mind to other genres. I can't advise on indie at all, but I am sure others can help.
Welcome to MD, by the way.
With Regards...

Greetings Midnite,
If its Indie you are looking for, then I will do my best to help you out. I've really embraced the Indie scene these past couple years, and since I am Senior Managing Editor for an e-Zine that caters to strickly Indie artists I've been VERY lucky to find my way to dozens of artists from all genres.
As for pop artists, maybe give these a try. Let me know what you think. :
