We are well into the eighth month of the year so I was wondering if our members could kindly share some of their favorite albums of 2011 so far ? I think 2011 has been a fabulous year for music !
Here are my choices for 2011 so far ! These albums are ones I listened to from start to finish and I have revisited them again a few times this year. They are in no particular order.
Adele - 21
PJ Harvey - Let England Shake
Radiohead- The King of Limbs
Panda Bear - Tomboy
Black Lips - Arabia Mountain
TV on the Radio - Nine Types of Light
Helrunar - Sol
A Pale Horse Named Death - And Hell Will Follow Me
(I have a passion for ambient and jazz music but I don't think I managed to listen to any new releases this year as I'm trying to catch up from last year!!!).

Adele - 21 I can say for sure, I can't think of any others specifically from this year that I would call favorites yet. I'm anticipating that Laura Marlings A Creature I Don't Know will make my list.

Laura is a close friend of Johnny Flynn's and sings " The River " on his album !

Haven't bought many 2011 releases, but I can recommend all of the following:
Adele - 21 (with thanks to CH)
Radiohead - The King of Limbs (definitely not with thanks to CH)
Iness Mezell - Beyond The Trance
PJ Harvey - Let England Shake (good pick, Steve)
Stevie Nicks - In Your Dreams (again with thanks to CH)

I only have OK Computer and based on that will not be buying anymore by RH. I think this is highly overrated and an extremely bland album. The Orb's 'Metallic Spheres' is another one that fits this decription as well.

Stevie & Iness are both well worth checking out IMV.
It's not just us, Music Head likes the earlier stuff, I think.
