yeh, yeh, yeh....here i go again with our radical,left-wing,tree hugging environmentalists,
global warming PC Brigade crap!!!!!

our history books are currently being re-written to appease minority groups:

apparently the term "settlement", in reference to the European arrival to Australia in 1788 is now to be termed "invasion" in all forthcoming history teachings and books.

no-one "invaded" this country, there was not a consolidated nation of indiginous people here, they were secular groups of of extended families who roamed our sun burned country, with no place they called home ie: they were nomadic!

we've seriously got to get back to a Conservative Government and get rid of this UN pleasing Labour/Greens Govt out of power...what next....thought control???

The term 'politically correct' is a contradiction in terms. They are almost never correct!

In the Netherlands we don't have the pressure of trying to be " Politically Correct"..........The Dutch nation is famous for its ability to put the point in a blunt way and yet here in a nation where we can say what we want and not worry about being PC ..............Having said that we don't seem to suffer.............this is manainly apolite and considerate nation...........they don't look for victims or someone to blame.here you can make mistakes and as long as you don't keep doing it people move on quickly and don't bear the grudge.................................No great catastopheses seem to happen........no one seems to be persecuted and generally life goes on ..............Cool
Nice to be able to go back to trust and friendship!!!!!!!!!

It's a mixed up sensation this being alive
Oh! it wears a man down into the ground
It's the strangest elation
I can't describe it
Oh it leaves a man weary
It makes a man frown.

That's what I like about the Dutch - they say what they mean and mean what they say. No BS!

We have had endless minority governments for the past 18 years which of course led to expensive and useless elections every 2 to 3 tears. The law has changed where you can only have an election every four years from now on.(same as the US)

The major problem in Canada was that there were too many fairly major parties - Conservatives, Liberals, New Democratic Party (NDP) ...similar to your Labour Party and the Parti Quebecois, a federal party that was determnied to separate Quebec French Canada from English Canada basically. So with this dilemna a majority could never be achieved...until...

Last May 2, a majority was finally attained by the Conservatives led by Stephen Harper (can't be all bad he has my name !!!lol). Also he is a member of an amateur music group, The Herring Bones, and plays piano. Of course the media jumped on this and he has played piano and sung to A Little Help From My Friends and Imagine...for this I like him. Silly reason but hey why not !..The problem is that I don't like his politics. Conservatives are more for big corporation tax breaks and the upper class. But this time, similar to the Obama break through, Canadians , the nice meek people who apologise for everything, said that's it we're fed up we're voting for Conservatives and NDP. Bye bye old Liberals and separtists. French Canada turned on the separators and voted NDP !!!!.. a perennial third place party.
The election saw the NDP (socialist democrats) finish second as the official opposition virtually wiping out the Liberals and the separtist party !!!!

How all this dramatic change of Canada's political landscape will play out..we'll see in the next four years !!

I will be featuring pretty much mostly Canadian musicians in the next little while. Canada Day is this Friday (July 1st). I am going 300 miles away to New Brunswick for a mini reunion of sorts from Jul 1 - July 4 so I may be away from MD for a few days...or I may find time to respond and take part away from home if I'm awake and everybody's snoring .....lol.

A think a new generation has spoken !

And unfortunately not nearly enough political. Other terms like this include "military intelligence" and "compassionate conservative". We done now?
