Mississippi flooding

gotta feel for those folks in Tennessee,Mississippi and Alabama currently having to deal with storms,twisters and now severe flooding.

what's it like in Kentucky Ed?, does the Mississippi flow through Ky also? if so, how close are you to it?

The mighty Mississippi runs along the western edge of the state.
Familiar with the area as I lived in Paducah for 7 years, before moving here.
That is about 10-15 miles from the Mississippi, but the Ohio river runs into it, which is also cresting.
They have some pretty huge floodwalls built around the town, so all is well there.

raising the floodgates in Louisiana
feel bad for the people in the rural areas that will no doubt lose their homes so the big cities can be saved

btw, just noticed in CH's original post here, the Mississippi does not border Alabama
