What Music do you like?

I would like to know what Music do you like for a Radio Survey I am doing.

Genre-wise, pretty much everything.

That doesn't mean I'll listen to any old crap, there has to be some quality there. That, of course, is a subjective judgement.

Like many others on this forum - a bit of everything.

But my favourites are Heavy Metal (mainly thrash, death, doom and classic metal), Goth, Industrial (EBM, Industrial Rock and Electo-industrial) and electronic music (mainly Old Skool Rave, Breakbeat, dark Drum n Bass, IDM, Synthpop and Psy Trance)

I also am a little partial to classic soul (from the 60s and 70s), classic rock (again 60s and 70s), 'girlie' pop (Sugababes, Rihanna, Lady Gaga - and of course the amazing Madonna), Rap (mainly from 80s and early 90s) and also some Classical music.

This is an interesting question from your point of view!!!!!! How long have you got?

• I love the sixties and grew up in it , there are so many people that I could mention here but, The Beatles, The Stones,The Kinks, The Beach Boys, are the obvious one, there are many obscure and interesting things I am in too too.
  

• I really like English folk music, in particular ( As this forum knows !) Magna Carta
  

• Seventies progressive rock is also interesting to me.
  

• New age music
  

• Celtic music
  

• Some light classical .
  

• The post Beatle works of John, Paul George and Ringo plus the output of Apple records also interests me.
  

There are many more but that is an quick summary.

I'll listen to any genre of music if it's done well imo. It's all about personal taste that's why I don't believe in criticizing someone's music preference !

"BEST" lists are a personal choice. The 100 best or greatest heavy metal list was published awhile ago by Metal Storm. I wonder how the list was compiled ? My list would definitely place OPETH a lot higher than #31 !
