Did anyone hear of this guy Andrew Rosborough?
I have been getting really into this guy over the past month or so and I think he is really a very talented young man indeed. His music is pretty difficult to categorise but it fits somewhere between Jack Johnson and John Mayer I guess, in saying that most of his songs have quite a bit more edge than those two guys so maybe Iâm a touch off the mark, however if your into either of those two your pretty sure to like Andrew.
For me the really great thing about Andrew Rosborough is the way he is able to so seamlessly blend so many disparate influences into something that is so completely his own. When you listen to his album you can just hear that he is above all a huge fan of music in all of its forms, and whoa is what he does diverse! When he rocks, he does exactly that, he ROCKS! When he unplugs and takes the troubadour route he comes of as so worldly and so sensitive it really has to be heard to be believed. There are tunes on which he comes off like a true blue-eyed soul boy and others where he makes it all a bit tougher and layers a crunching urban flavoured beat below the rest of the instruments.
Like I said at the top this is unquestionably a guy with a whole lot of talent and as far as I am concerned there looks like very little standing between him and the very top of the game. Donât just take my word for it though have yourself a look at his Myspace, you can hear his songs there and I reckon you must be dead inside if one of them doesnât get to you.
