Foals are amazing. Thats all i can really say, especially when most indie bands arn't really independent or at least free thinking and not always trying to second guess what we want to hear...
I'm just a bit hooked finding i've spent hours watching their random videos and all sorts.
: ) even got a couple of free live tracks off their myspace, so thats pretty good.
...i should stop talking now, but if you want to hear something actually worth listening to go and check FOALS out (if you haven't done so allready).

I got Antidotes a while ago and was bored out of my mind. It seems there is absolutely nothing unique about this band. I think there were two songs on that album worth listening to, which, to me, isn't enough. I'll check out there next album, but I don't believe they are spectacular in the least. They are, in fact, quite dull.

I really like them - loved Mathletics but did buy Antidotes as a 'I expect I'll listen to it once or twice' sort of way but have been listening to it fairly regularly.
I like the 'dancey trancey' vibe (dear god I used the word 'vibe'!).
I do think they're more a band with potential at the minute than the finished article and I'm actually quite excited to hear what the next album will be like.
Now if you really want dull - try MGMT - I mean really!

I really like the tunes behind Foals songs. like the toe-tapping beat and the high register guitar... but i cant say the same for the lyrics and the melody behind the lyrics...the singing kinda makes me not want to listen to it.

How strange - that is exactly what I would say for 'Oracular Spectacular' (except for checking out the next album - I wouldn't be so generous there)

I had to step in and comment on the MGMT inclusion to this thread. Oracular Spectacular is a somewhat weak album in my opinion. There are a couple of standout tracks but the rest just doesn't do much for me. With that said, I've introduced MGMT to quite a few young ladies who all LOVE the album... so it can't be all bad.
For the record, I do prefer Foals' Antidotes album as a whole but honestly enjoy the couple of standout tracks from MGMT more than any individual songs on Antidotes.

I'm going to have to agree with you there. I bought Antidotes just recently and the only song that jumped out at me was 'Cassius' and, to a lesser extent, 'Balloons'. They clearly picked their singles well, but the rest of the album is mindnumbingly - as you said - dull. Bloc Party, who are in close cahoots with Foals, are about 1000 times more exciting and, hence, 1000 times better.
