Surprisingly, 'Defying Gravity' holds up at 7 for Cynthia and Ariana from Wicked. 'Rockin Around The Christmas Tree' is firmly at 6. At 5, 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' is up 5 spots and looks to climb more! 'Sailor Song' slips 2 spots for Gigi Perez as she has a high sales fall. ROSÉ and Mars 'APT.' Climbs on sales but stays at 3. This is the first Christmas song by Ed, which disappointed; listening to this felt like eating a cupcake and finding out there's no filling inside. This is so tasteless and sounds like something that I've heard a gazillion times, even though I haven't. This was also featured in the movie 'That Christmas,' which must've had bad people picking the songs for the movie. Ed said it's a sad Christmas song to tell the moment people feel alone. I want to be alone while listening to this because I don't want people thinking I like this. Ed... you're one of my favourite artists, but your music keeps getting worse with every release.
88 - Holiday Road - Kesha (4/10)
Its repetitive pop style is boring, and this doesn't sound like it fits that Christmassy feel; it feels lacking and like something that has nothing to hook you on but just a cheap replacement to songs like 'Underneath the Tree' and 'Holiday Road.' It isn't a huge failure but is just bad.
87 - Misfit - Juice WRLD (4/10)
Previous first listen:
Juice's raspy voice works well with the acoustic guitar plucks and the emo-rap/trap background. This is Juice's last album, titled 'The party never dies,' released this week, and it's set to be the last album by Juice after he died from a d*** over**** years back. This didn't hit hard for me or sound like a main single, but it sounds like he tried to make this decent, so I'll respect the effort.
86 - Winter Ahead - V/Park Hyo Shin (7/10)
I was pleased with how pleasantly smooth this was and had its wide range of uniqueness with the clicking and the trumpet fitted at the appropriate timings! It's all quite different for a BTS solo member to make, so I applaud exploring boundaries with this; it didn't need to be as long as it was, but I still really like this! Great track!
72 - Run Rudolph Run - Mark Ambor (6/10)
I really like Mark trying something different from his previous 'Rockwood' album. With an older style 'Run Rudolph Run' and its guitar strumming to create a faster-paced, chiller atmosphere really worked well with the track! Solid release, and it's the first time I've said that for a Spotify single.
55 - Empty Out Your Pockets - Juice WRLD (6/10)
The hype-trap track set to feature in the video game Fortnite featured on Juice's final album, 'The Party Never Ends,' and ended up being neither the best but still better than Juice's average for me. It sets as a track that builds hype, but I doubt it'll last.
