I feel that I can offer well formed opinions and views on just about any music genre without bieng biast and hope to engage in great discussions with anybody ! I have not met an individual yet that I could share my ideas on music so I hope to find it here. I am 23 and know about things like Gregarian chants , Bachs enormous contributions to music, the devils interval, Myths behind Beethovens true concert pitches, why people should bow to Fransisco Terrega,How blues guitar evolved from a locomotive,The English Invasion,Why Black Sabbath created metal and started the genre,Punks rise, disco,new wave,country,why Johnny Cash is a bad ass,Bob Dylan and his impact and why,The differrence between one good note vs many notes,the music industrie and its fears and cash control,why amazing musicians never make it to radio while the hacks do, and on and on I go.....Cant wait to meet you !

You seem to have a vast knowledge of music history and I hope to see you using it in discussions here.
Just a notice, your post seems to be lacking in structure as you have included so many points in a list. Maybe try to seperate your posts out with some sort of paragraphing to make it eaiser for everyone to read.

Another question for you. What are your impressions of modern music coming from the USA? You state about music versus good notes. I would have said that the best good notes were around 60 years ago.

In simple terms based on observation. Un-inspired, image driven, and trying way too hard to fit in with the music of today.

I go to jazz clubs and talk to a whole aray of masterful musicians and I ask them direct (and not all of them are jazz there also funk,rock, and ambient or eclectic) why are you guys playing to a crowd of thirty when you can handle crowds of thousands ? And most if not all say we all have to go to Germany ,Japan, or Europe and make are selves known out there because we get no radio play and the whole image driven factor is in high effect. Modern music today is not thriving nor inspired but highly produced and pre-written. I would have to say that I have yet to hear something that makes me go "whoa" in this new millenia .The 90s had bands ! maybe not the most virtuoso musicaly but emotionaly and song craft wise awesome ! and who else hear can truly say that they have heard anything new in todays modern muisc that made them say "wow ! that song is incredible !" I havent ...I have heard talent but nothing innovative or profound but yet this can all be so subversive maybe everyone loves whats out....I just think were not getting the full potential thats out there and Ive seen some of it.

Yeah I agree with you entirely on this one. Todays music scene is like something of a production line. What happens to manufactured stuff? They don't last. Today's music scene is way too money oriented.
The blues and rock scene from the 40's, 50's and 60's in the states includes some of the best legends that will last the test of time. Including Elvis, Fats Dominoes, and suck like.

Are you discussing the last 8 years and/or the 90's? Although a lot os bands and music are manufactured. They still are very popular and a lot of groups will be remembered. Perhaps not just for their music, but now more likely for their celebrity status.
