AL DI MEOLA ~ Twentyfour
The title speaks for itself, I guess! And the album cover is shown in the YT link below. I can totally get into this kind of music. Enough fusion / rock / world music vibes to pique my interest and it makes sense to my brain. Not at all pure jazz, which depending on the ‘purveyor’, can either work, or not, for these ears.
Suffice to say that at 70 years young, Uncle Al has made an elegant album, I do believe – there is simply no doubting his talent – brilliant guitarist. Kiss My Axe still rankles as having quite possibly THE most sexist album cover in the entire history of music (I am a little prone to exaggeration btw), however, I’m forgiving him and moving on, he'll be pleased to know!
… Worth a listen, IMHO and not least for the one and only vocal track, courtesy of one Siuxx of whom I know precisely nothing – great voice though!
That lovely vocal track - "Eden" ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wWvG76-Sdg
And my favourite - "Ava's Dance in the Moonlight"
