firstly, its amazing how prolific the members of this band are when between them and their side projects they have a combined 9 album releases (including this one) since 2020's start of the Coronavirus epidemic...
the first four songs on here were a bit blah as they tried to capture their classic years, yes 'classic years' as they first emerged 30+ years ago now but failed to recapture their youthful vibes...
loving the next two track, "the everglades" and "the narcissist"...
the final four tracks are all good so i went back and re listened toto the first four tracks and i liked them second time round...
album feels like a 'grower' with repeat listens, much better than their last two albums, "think tank" (2003) and "the magic whip" (2015).
its on the list!
