the dreaded cassette tape
#1
remember those?
the tape used to nwind and youd be forced to reel it back in with a pencil insterted in the little wheel things?
you couldnt leave then in cars (well not here anyway) in summer because they would literally melt.
shocking thing that were lucky if they survived until the album dropped out of the chert.

well theyre back!
seems theyre making a bit of a comeback in the UK.
sales arent great (65,000 in the first six months of 2020)
but its double what they sold last year.
bit of a retro thing happening but its not something im going back to.

anyway, the article from UK: https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-new...ar__30242/

The worst music delivery system ever invented. Anyone buying them is just wasting their money.

It always bothered me that on a cassette you would get say 19 minutes and then 3 minutes of dead air on side one ! The 8 track was awful also, big and cumbersome and prone to jamming !
