David Crosby
I know you guys had a thread for his new album
why are you hiding it from me?
where is it?

Search no more. Confusedmile:

sorry mate, was in "easy listening" as opposed to "folk" or "classic rock". I just figured easy listening was a more apt place for it to go.
no problem
I'm an idiot
thanks Ruby

just realized
even dumber than not thinking to search that thread
all I had to do was look at our New Album Listens thread and click on that link
the mind is a terrible thing to waste
but when the body is gone you just turn to other parts

now I'm confused again
I just posted in the above mentioned thread
thing is
I thought Ruby reviewed this album
it is not there
did I dream it?
purple haze
am I happy or in misery?
whatever it is, that girl put a spell on me

I thought Ruby posted it somewhere also????
^^^I did but I hadn’t actually reviewed the album as I’d only heard a couple of tracks at the time -

I have listened to the whole album now though, and my circus mind is running wild.

While I hear you guys, I guess it’s the elements you aren’t that keen on that most appeal to me. The story of my life! Lol!

I just get a sense that this is a Crosby who’s happy – he’s kinda found his way back to what he was always good at, and let’s face it … he was really good, that guy who almost cut his hair!

I don’t mind the laidbackness – in fact, that’s what does it for me, and I think it all goes a bit deeper than what you might find at initial listening; I find a peace in the whole thing, but joy and confidence as well – as though he’s finally found his way back to the heart of being David Crosby, albeit a bit late, and he has done so with no regard for this present place and time. It’s his truth and that’s what counts IMHO – yes he sounds old, but it’s quite interesting that laying bare that very vulnerability lends a huge amount of authenticity to his album, probably because it allows us a glimpse of his humanity and a fate we all share. Anyhow …. today, this track speaks to me …

BTW – just in case anyone’s interested – his take on Kanye West …
