enters the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart this week at #14
Spotify spin
expected this to be really bad
not the case at all
20 years since the last album
Mickey gets most of the vocals
but all get a shot, even the dead one
some interesting writing credits
including Gallagher/Weller
Rivers Cuomo (Weezer) contributes this first single

Who would ever have thought that The Monkees would still be making records 46 years after The Beatles had packed it in?

love that comment bob_32....!!!!
just listened to the album...
like MH,
was expecting pure crap but I was pleasantly surprised...
don't expect any poppy "last train to clarkesville" etc etc,
this is a mature sounding album of decent tunes...
and like MH said,
some surprising collaborators on this one, none more so than Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher as mentioned by MH...
good album, I like it!

best track for me is the opening track:

That track "Good times" actually reminds me quite a lot of "Last Train to Clarksville".
Judging by just hearing this song and the one posted earlier, the album is not crap, but not mind-blowing either.
