I don't do "new years resolutions" as such...
none of that "cut down on smoking", "quit smoking", "be a better person", "eat healthy", "exercise more" crap!
but what I plan doing this year is more achievable in that I would like to average listening to one new album release
on average per week throughout the year, preferably by artists I haven't heard of...
anyone else wish to share their plans/resolutions for 2016????

As a rule I don't do resolutions because there are always things that come up that change all those grandiose plans. Having said that I hope to release a new album each year for the next four years. (If I don't croak before then!). Whether they sell or not is irrelevant. I just want to do that for the next four years. That's the goal. I am definitely on track to do that for the next 2 years anyway because I have done a lot of the spadework over the last few years. The following 2 years/projects are going to be a bit trickier. After that I might decide to become a monk or something equally absurd. I would also like to go somewhere really obscure this year - maybe Bhutan or Patagonia or something like that. But that's not the be all and end all. Whatever happens, happens.
Oh yes, and I promise to be a bit more tolerant when discussing music that I do not really like - hmmmmm - this could be a really interesting one...........

I don't know if this kind of thing counts as a New Year's resolution, but my intention is to get more CD's of my newest most favorite singer country music's late beautiful precious Billy Joe Royal.
God bless you and his family always!!!
Holly
P.S. Ever since his going forward a few months ago, his awesome singing is all that I have listened to. My only regret is not getting into him sooner, I couldn't be anymore ashamed of how late I myself have been. With him being gone now, I can't tell him how much I love him.
Listen to my most favorite singer here sometime, James Otto that is!

I know this is cheeky, but my general and most important resolution is to complete all the goals I've set up for this year!
