13th Floor Elevators...

[CRAZY-HORSE]

does anyone remember 13th Floor Elevators from the mid to late 1960s????

the reason I ask is because id never heard of them until I watched Foo Fighters "sonic highways" movie/doco today...
the band were interviewed in Austin,Tx where the Foo's were recording...
they played excerpts from a couple of their tracks and they sounded ok to me...

this is the one I liked best of the two https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruvEJFvCWBE

and here's the Foo Fighters cover of that track https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50Rx1wLer9U

I have a copy of the only officially released album/cd "The psychedelic sounds of", all of the others were never officially released by the band. I like it, but it is a nostalgia thing for me, kind of like Ultimate Spinach, Beacon Street Union and other obscure releases from the 60's
