Hi Everyone!
Beatboxing seems to be up and coming, and what it is, is making hiphop rhythms using only your mouth.
Would you like to share which beatboxing artistes you like, and the beatboxing songs that are your all time favourite?
My favourites include Eklips and Alem.

Welp...Peter Hollens probably isn't your typical beatboxer, as far as style of music, but he. is. AWESOME. He does the beatboxing AND harmonies!

Beatboxing can really be good, but most of the time people call themselves beatboxers without having any clue of professionals!

I don't know what you call what Gege Telesforo does but I sure like it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NWDjlCcFnw I got hip to him via a DVD of Ben Sidran's
ad-hoc group, the GoJazz All-Stars--lotsa good, more familiar players on it. Worth your time to look up a hard-copy:

Cool, while i guess its hard to pigeonhole beatboxing, i personally feel that what he did is more towards scatting than beatboxing.
If we had a venn diagram, i guess this could fall under highly percussive scatting =)

Whats your opinion on vocal percussion and beatboxing.. what are the characteristics that make them different?
