Amused to Death

I see Roger Waters is re-releasing 'Amused to Death'. Have no idea what it's going to sound like but seems like it's more relevant now than when it was initially released. A concept album about the human race becoming desensitized (sp?) by technology - very relevant in this day and age where we are all obsessed by mobile phones, iPads, FB, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, selfies & Pinterest. I am very proud to announce that I have divested myself of all these afflictions - except of course, YouTube, - just too much damn good music on that.

i have "amused to death"....good album IMO, probably one or teo tracks i dont like, but better than "radio k.a.o.s" which had some filler IMO

Yes, the new cover is better. A definite purchase for me. No question. And this album uses QSound technology. If you sit dead-centre between the speakers while listening to this album you will hear things coming from all directions - the dog barking sounds like he is in your next door neighbour's garden - it really is that good. Never mind 5.1, 7.2 & 5657584.98712357 systems - stereo works just as well. It depends on whether the mix engineer has any imagination or not. People buy these fancy sound systems and then listen to YouTube that's been recorded in mono and then go on about how fantastic the sound is??!!??. I am beginning to wonder whether people can actually tell the difference between mono and stereo anymore. Just because you have two earbuds in your ears does not mean it's stereo boys and girls. The final mix must be in stereo in order for you to take advantage of the 'picture' true stereo provides.

A final note - your speakers must be in phase - i.e. the positive terminal on the amp must go to the positive terminal on your speaker. And the negative to the negative.
