Love her singing dearly, despite her life-long friendship with Leonard Cohen (I feel no need to and won't explain). Here's the Wiki and Site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jennifer_Warnes and http://www.jenniferwarnes.com/

For a lot of years Famous Blue Raincoat was considered the top release to use when auditioning new speakers. I have both versions of the CD - the original and the remastered fully digital anniversary version. I bought the anniversary version to see if it had better sound quality, some songs sound better, but not all.

Yes, exactly. For clarity of recording, dynamics, separation and blending of sounds...non-pareil. What's your top choice now?

Wrecking Ball by Emmylou Harris along with an obscure blues Cd by Blue Rider Trio (mapleshade records)

I would rate Ry Cooder's 'Buena Vista Social Club' very highly in terms of recording.
'The purpose of life is a life of purpose' - Athena Orchard.

Q: When is a hijack not a hijack?
A: When an answer leads to other Q&A in the same vein, another bend in the road, as happened here.
I'd heard about the 2 more prominent pieces (own them, actually) but was so enamored of R_burke's mentioned Trio that I researched and bought both, and will be following up with a Thread. As a teaser, here are 2 reviews of CDs by them: http://www.allmusic.com/album/preachin-t...0000117452 and http://www.allmusic.com/album/harp-steel...0000088787 << Sonic quality is as much a credit to their record company as them: http://www.mapleshaderecords.com/ << they make sonic and audio products so you'd figure them to be sticklers about what they record and issue.
