This geezer saying,"You'll grow into other, more melodic music" sounds snotty and elitist as hell...even to me. I would ask that you use your musical intelligence and spirit of inquiry to look at musics presented here to, if nothing else, maybe incorporate into your music--maybe the synthesis of this century? Somebody has to take the lead in getting us out of this current across-the-board morass of mediocrity. Always challenge yourself and ask. "If not me, who?"
