So i play computer games and have recent got fallout 3, i like it.

i am having problems with it running. cant figuer out why. system spec is:

duel core athlon
4 gig ram
8800 gt nvidia

the game apparently needs 2 gig and 8800 card to work (both of which i have)

problem is:

the game loads fine and is fine to play for about 20-30 mins, then it starts to jump. its a pain in the $%£ and i cant think why its happening.

i did think that my ram speed was too low but i think i am wrong about it, g-card works fine

cant think, someone got any suggestions, (no smart alic remarks about posting this in some random computer forum please, really not needed)

Have you tried lowering the graphic quality to help reduce demand on the system?

Did you overclock your PC? If so, try putting it back to stock speeds.

Also, do you have XP or Vista? Do you have ASUS GamerOSD and ASUS SmartDoctor installed?

never heard of the ASUS stuff, and no dont overclock (cant run the risk of meltdown)

Still - you could check the temperature when the games starts to lag - unlikely but might be?

Have you updated the game? This maybe a familiar problem and the software company may have built a patch.

WORKED OUT WHAT IT IS

i have somehow managed to half/kind of burnt out my graphics card..... poo

o well time to buy a new one :evil:

£420 should cover it.....
