43rd Annual Juno Awards - Canadian Music Awards 2014

Somewhat disappointed with this years showcase of Canadian music!!!! To start with, Justin Bieber won the People's Choice Award, so it's obvious his planned or unplanned bad boy image has succeeded!!!!

Here are a few notables....

Arcade Fire as usual did not appear (touring in South America). Reflektor did win alternative album and also the general album of the year!

Serena Ryder won for songwriter and best artist.

Tegan and Sara won for best single - Closer and best group.

Dean Brody won for best country album - Crop Circles.

Protest the Hero with their album Volition won best metal hard rock album.

Bachman Turner Overdrive (BTO) were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame!!!...long overdue! All members were present and they performed!

It's been a while since I watched the Junos, but it's awesome to see so much Canadian music coming out in recent years.

I'm a bit confused though. In the title, it says "43rd Annual Juno Awards - 2014" but you mentioned you were disappointed by this year's showcase. Did you mean the 2014 Junos or this year's ones because those aren't until August.

Hey Emily, it might be a good idea to check the date of a post before replying to it. this thread is over two years old. There's nothing wrong in principle with reviving an old thread, but you do need to get it in the context of when it appeared.
