For me it adds something on the Big screen. It's hard to imagine the movie being as good as The Passion Of The Christ though.

Only time I ever felt like I had been to church while coming out of a theater. Jim Caviezel did a great job as Christ. There are also some great behind the scene stories. He said he actually almost died on that cross from hypothermia and was struck by lightning during the last shot of the day. Jim also experienced a shoulder separation from the weight of the cross. He was also actually hit during the scourging accidentally which left a 14 inch scar on his back. He was throwing up because he was so sick and his lungs were filling up with fluid, There was a Dr. on the scene. After the filming Jim had heart surgery. Mel warned Jim that it would be rough but Jim wanted to do the movie. Jim said he experienced a small part of what Jesus went through. Best portrayal of Jesus I've ever seen!!
Wow! Quite a story Reb! It really makes you wonder!!!! I loved the language of Aramaic and Latin used in the movie....made it realistic!

I thought before I saw the film it would take away from the movie but it did nothing to distract from the film. One of my favorite parts that stays on my mind is after he prayed in the garden he looked at the portrayal of Satan right in the face and stomped the snake. It was great!! It showed his great authority!! Jim told about Mel using God's name in vain so dressed and made up like Jesus, he told Mel don't use my Father's name in vain.
