Please help me connect with my youth!
#1
So way back in the day, when I was a kid....[Image: biggrin.gif] there was this disco song that I've always heard, even these days occasionally. Every time I hear it, which is fairly scarce these days, they never say who it is and when you try to look it up on line, such as playlists from that station, it's a dead end. Honestly, if I had a smart phone or the mic worked on my computer, I'd try one of the many song recognition web sites, but this isn't an option for me, and it's driving me crazy!!!

So here's what I do know..........

It starts out with a rather subdued ringing of notes, as in bells ringing, much like a door bell. The succession of 4 notes starts out at a modest pace then the next 4 notes repeat but in half the time. I don't know any other way to put the notes so here we go....

.................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .....
.Ding............... ..ding.............. ...ding........ding. .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... ...................
............ding.... .................... ............ding.... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... ...........
.................... ................ding .................... ......ding.......... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... ...........
.................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .....
.................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .................... .....

The song has singers harmonizing throughout the song, occasionally doing the following chorus.....

.................... .................... ............ .................... ...........
.................... .................... .................... .................... .................
.................... ....................EEEEW!!!...... .... .................... .................
.................... .................... .................... .................... ..................
.................... ................. .................... .................... ...............
.................... ......EW............ .................... .................... ..............
.................... ........... EW...... ................. .................... .................
...................E W................... .................... .................... ...............
.................... .................... .................... .................... .................
.............EW..... .................... .................... .................... ...............

mid point the song breaks into a guitar riff that goes very quickly....... .deet deettle lee deet, deet dettle lee deet, deet deettle lee deet....... then drops an octave, then does it again........ then drops another octave and does it again and so on for several successions

[Image: redface.gif] If anyone could please help me get in touch with my youth, so it doesn't feel like I'm just dreaming this song, I'd so much appreciate that!

Any lyrics at all? A chorus?

Uncle Salty, I have nothing unfortunately. It's been quite awhile since I've heard it. It has chorus throughout it though and has at least one male singer.

Is it Paul McCartney and Wings - Let them In? I know the song has a doorbell sound in the beginning.
