Anytime you use the term "country music" in a modern context, please put quotes around it or call it pop country or use something to distinguish it from the true music of the heart and the people that country music is. This is cynical, hypocritical pop crap peddled these days is posing strictly and only for those bucks. This sad turn of events is why bluegrass and Americana have grown--folks tired of being bought and sold, merchandised to, as the targets of "product". Yes, I know it sells--that's exactly the issue...and the the true country artists, the ones struggling to keep it alive, those artists are being marginalized, shoved to the side.
