What Are You Listening To?
And after that it's going to be something completely different and laid back to unwind after a busy day. Eno's 'Music for Films'.

I’ve been listening to lullaby and … The Ceaseless Roar with admittedly fresh ears, since reading Paul Rees’s (not very well written, as well as not authorised) biography of Robert Plant. What the book does put forward, is the extent to which this man is a walking encyclopaedia when it comes music and its history, and it also goes a long way to explaining his fascination with North African instrumentation and sounds – something which is very evident on this album, along with other ‘roots’ influences, of course. He’s an inveterate musical explorer, which is great for us! It’s a mature Plant, no doubt about that, but it's so good to hear his unmistakeable voice, even in such carefully considered measures, and I seriously doubt whether he will ever be labelled anachronistic. Beautifully put together, ranging from rock to ever-so-hushed ballad with no over-reaching. What a pleasure!

The album title is hidden in this song, which is my favourite track of the album … (so far, that is) … gorgeous! -

John Miles - Rebel. A truly awesome album IMHO. There are surprising few decent sound quality clips on youtube - they just don't do justice to this most excellent music, so audio it has to be - http://grooveshark.com/#!/s/When+You+Los...ung/4shMAg (he's still rocking Nights of the Proms, etc - amazing voice)

Sheryl Crow interview on the radio. Just realised I don't own any of her material. Will be looking for a best of nest week. I like a lot of the tracks they played today.

Pavlov's Dog, both Pampered Menial and At the Sound of the Bell - a feast of excellent songs. No idea what happened, but they were brilliant while they lasted!
