Love that New Orleans R&B?

Then here's the disc for you. A review via 2 sources: http://www.offbeat.com/2014/10/01/variou...-soul-ace/ I've pulled some tunes not necessarily off this disc (their sound is remastered and much better):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is2hOQJYFiM
Just for giggles, Bruce doing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gd0HBhaT3kE and for total wack, here's Jimi's take: http://www.allmusic.com/album/in-the-beg...0001892833 from this obscure disc: http://www.allmusic.com/album/in-the-beg...0001892833 << he was a non-singing sideman

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qhxE5z9xRI << Pt. 2 is instrumental
Steve Miller's take: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UWt6iq4p0k

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l59RPTHt2Ho << essential N.O., here live
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1e8t908XhVI << my fave from him--not on the disc
a woman's take: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjQUblWNy6E << given what "funky" really means, this makes perfect sense

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJ7IkhdXb7U
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azIytXgdggA
Another take on this utter classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SjQ_fZvfaE << a 2-fer. You're welcome.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rv_UW8sHsWE << brings tears every time, old fool that I am
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EjnavYNLmI << nobody does this better, not even that Welshman

New Orleans as most of us know is a red hotbed for American music, even a substantial quantity of indie, rock, and metal bands claim New Orleans as their home! Most people associate The City That CARE Forgot with Dixieland Jazz ala Satchmo! Thanks for enlightening me Jazzbo CR with the great upbeat rhythm and blues artists from The Big Easy!

There are some interesting artists here, the upbeat music is a treat as I am currently working on my diddly bow and grooving to upbeat music! The Springsteen and Miller covers were great, Tom and Wilson very good, Lee Dorsey very good, and of course the Aaron Neville Classic! I also liked Oliver Morgan and Johnny Adams...most of the artists were unknown to me until now!

The Soul Queen of New Orleans ...IRMA THOMAS, is a tour de force!..as you already know Jazzy!

Think you could take a few minutes from your busy schedule to link some favorite tunes from these aggregations? I realize I'm harping on a tired theme but really...you want to leave it to us shamateurs to delve?

Thanks for the links, R_burke. Hope I didn't come off as one who harangues; after all, Magic Sam says it best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xdenZwds-k << ignore the "...slip me a kiss..." part though.
