Follow up to the classic, which would be hard to equal for me. Only took 16 years. Would never outsell that original, but it did chart higher, making #1 to the classics #14 in the states. Equal #1 performance in the U.K. and Aussieland. Single of I Would Do Anything For Love also hit the top and got the Meat a grammy for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. This album was also written and produced by Jim Steinman. He had started working on the follow up as early as '77 under pressure from the label. Songs from this actually made it to Steinmans solo album, Bad For Good, and his female group, Pandoras Box. Have not heard either of those. Todd Rundgren and Ellen Foley return for background vocals. Meat Loaf is a great performer and is equal to the task for this, but it doesn't measure up to the masterpiece that he will forever be known for.

Another good effort from the meat man. I get 4 love tracks out of this one along with 2 wasted. This is the last Meat Loaf album I have and
there have been 4 since. Looking back I only have 4 of his 12 albums (Dead Ringer vinyl only). Wouldn't mind having them all. Surprised to see
most of his albums have charted higher in the UK. Bat Out of Hell 1 and 2 are his best selling albums and overall sales have fallen since that
first sequel. Last album was in 2011 and only hit the top 10 in the UK. Love the liner notes with this album. Written as a book with each song's
lyrics being a chapter. And the lyrics are great as always.

Revisiting Atom Heart Mother by Pink Floyd - this monstrosity actually made it to number 1 - how I will never know. It is one the most bizarre albums I have ever heard. There are some neat parts from Rick Wright but that's about it - complete nonsense - and that's from a die-hard PF fan!

Turn of the Tide – Barclay James Harvest. A very good album IIMHO. While looking for a video link to my favourite song (here’s an audio - http://grooveshark.com/#!/s/I+m+Like+A+Train/6IyyuQ), came across this unrelated (to the aforementioned album) live recording. So many voices have said the same thing, and here we are, forty years on in this instance, – still not listening!
