.............Honey White
Strange brew here with mostly sax, bass and drums. Some is even hard pressed for me to call music. Sounds, I guess. Wait, somebody here likes
sounds. Massachusetts band formed in 1989. Disbanded in 1999 when lead man Mark Sandman died of a heart attack. Made it through 5 albums but
never got much exposure here. Music was too avante-garde for anything other than public radio. Did slightly better in Australia but them blokes
are strange down there, being upside down all the time. Not a terrible album but not my kind of weird today, and I have another one to get
through.
I DO NOT LIKE THIS ALBUM
Worst Track - Sharks

The sax tends to over ride the tracks...otherwise very good band ...if they didn't use the loud sax all the time!!!!! Music Head Wrote:Band Members for this release

Mark Sandman was a clever, inherently musical guy â creative. Their stuff is calculatedly stripped down and the resultant sounds are a lot less simple than youâd expect from a two string bass, sax and drums! The band was really defined by the bass, Sandmanâs great baritone voice and the baritone sax. Something off the beaten track in a world of same old same old IMO, but an acquired taste, and for me now, only a very rare listen.

That's what I feared, worse than the last one. Can't believe I've got a follow up album. Apparently I liked these guys 20 years ago. Mark's
vocals sure are interesting, it's the bare bones music that does nothing for me. I only got 4 like tracks out of it. First major label release
but no sound change from the previous album. The group only had 1 release after this album which charted worse than this one. Tragic ending to
their story when Sandman collapsed on stage at a festival in Italy. Pronounced dead of a heart attack the group disbanded.
