An exceptional talent, IMHO. I could listen to him all day, and probably will. Shai Maestro - Angelo.

Heavy Blues Chevy "Blues N'Jected" is an interesting and very good CD put out by a band with a serious sense of humor. The liner notes are as much fun as the CD with liner notes such as: "This music was recorded and mixed by M. Dycus in a bedroom on good old analog equipment. It was not stolen, he has receipts for everything." You know that this is a band that does not take themselves too seriously.
What you do get though is ten good blues tracks that get better the more you listen to the CD. The CD does not have a highly produced sound and sounds very live which is what the band was looking for.
All ten songs were written by the band. The style of music is pretty much rockin blues with excursions into swing, and slow blues. Great guitar work is all over this CD from the tasteful slow blues licks of "The Walk" and "Towed Away," to the Texas Blues style of "Old Enough To Know Better," the swing sound of "She Likes To Boogie Real Low." "Old Enough To Know Better" is a solid blues shuffle that harkens to Austin Texas blues without sounding like a Stevie Ray Vaughan ripoff. "The Walk," a slow blues number, has some unusual guitar licks that you do not expect from the typical slows blues. Vocally the band can sing as well as they play their instruments.
Bottom line...I would recommend this CD to anyone who likes Austin Texas blues, or just rockin blues or even someone who just likes guitar based blues. It works on all levels and works very well. It's a keeper.
Mick Dycus - Lead & Backing Vocals, Lead & Rhythm Guitars
Kendall Rezabek - Bass Guitar, backup vocals, consultant
Scott Young - Drums, backup vocals, percussion, accountant
Jeff McGuire - electric rhythm and electric lead guitar trade-offs
Robert Bone - Electric Rhythm guitar track 1
iTunes and Rhapsody both have this CD for download. I could not find any of these on You Tube so I put them where anyone interested can hear them.

One my favorite blues bands.
AMG likes the puppy stuffin's out of this disc. They've put out 9 albums in 14 years (though this was the first without their female lead). Check the review: http://www.allmusic.com/album/clear-blue...0000782770 Some tunes:

I agree that Mr. Sinclaire is a pleasant singer but to call him a jazz singer is to render the term meaningless. I hear no effort on his part to immerse himself in the lyric, to dig deep to find the inner being of the song nor his conception of it. He's a cut or two above the current torrent of tepid tenors but it's jazzy pop--no more. It's a deep insult to those who are jazz singers, both past (Mel Torme) or present (Mark Murphy. Kevin Mahogany, Mose Allison, Willie Nelson on occasion or to venture to the far shores of the outre, Leon Thomas). It is also an egregious back-slap at current female jazz singers (Anne Hampton Callaway, Cassandra Wilson, Bettye Lavette of late, Rebecca Parris and so many others). The only part of those 2 clips that's jazz is the band. I have a kvetch or 2 on some of their selections but look here for the Real Deal: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_male_jazz_singers

Thanks for your critique Jazz ! He's in that Michael Buble stable...poppy jazz ...the actual song I heard by him " I Found Love" is not in the Buble Connick Jr. style! It isn't available on YouTube, the song selections were not really representative of why I like him!..that's how I went...I still enjoy his voice and it fits into this sub forum music wise!

Singles - To Deserve You
..........In This Life
Must have been in the mood for this one, surprising myself once again. Nothing I don't like and 5 love tracks. Bette too 5 years off after her
previous best selling Some Peoples Lives. Looks like this is her third best selling album, going Platinum here, but it took 5 years of sales to
reach that. No singles helped it though, just her name I would say. I see that To Deserve You was remixed as a dance track and charted on that
side. Don't even want to listen to that, it would ruin it for me. This was her last album for Atlantic after spending her entire career there.
Bette has only had 4 albums since this and only 1 has even gone gold. The diva is memorable if only for Wind Beneath My Wings. Another artist I
should have a cd compilation of.
I LOVE THIS ALBUM
