sorry SteveO...just not a big fan of "blues" or "blues rock"
the exceptions being Eric Clapton,BB King, and the brilliant Buddy Guy

I'm not into the blues heavily, it comes and goes! However I love the way Ms. Hart delivers a song!

Slade alive

That is a brilliant album and it is how rock used to be and should be indeed !!!!

Slade were one of rock and roll's greatest rock groups IMO...with Noddy Holder supplying,possibly, the greatest rock vocal chords/voicebox ever. BTW as a spot of trivia... Slade were the first artist on the UK charts to have three singles debut on the chart list at #1.... The Jam were second to achieve that feat.

![[Image: 51Zwnqn2bIL._SL500_AA280_.jpg]](http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51Zwnqn2bIL._SL500_AA280_.jpg) [/URL] BONDI CIGARS "mercy" cd,1998 career stats: stuio albums......9 compilations......1 singles..............0 this album: no chart entry this is the fifth of nine studio albums from these Aussie blues guys... i used to know their singer/writer Shane Pacey many years ago but we sort of got lost in the midsts of time and space.... band have twice been nominated as best blues and roots band here, but didnt win either time...winning aint everything i guess, just to be recognised is just as good in some respects! anyway, this is laid-back blues from whiteboys so guess its not real blues, songs have a few tinges of country and slight funk to them at times... well written,performed and produced IMO as the casual listener. these guys are still touring here and probably do so on and off for probably eight months a year, a very very good live band with a huge following amongst the blues fans here and bar fans in general. im not very optimistic about youtube links from this album,so i'll be happy if there's a couple including my favourite... Could be posting in the wrong place - difficult to know where she fits in! I'm listening to Joan Armatrading's Secret Secrets. This, with Joe Jackson is a stunning, simple arrangement. Not a big fan of Joe Jackson, but there is no denying his prowess on the piano.

Joan is a difficult one to place IMO also Ruby... she covers so many genres(sometimes two or three in a single track)... im not saying you have to do what i do, but when im in doubt i tend to stick them in "alternative" because that is a really wide genre. im not much of a fan of Joe Jackson neither,but as a pianist there's no knocking him! i would say "real men" is probably my favourite of his...beautiful piano work,good vocals and brilliant well thought out lyrics.
