Hello! For months I've been trying to find some new music/artists to listen to. My husband introduced me to Jonah and the Whale and Local Natives, both groups I love, but I've played the albums a million times and am looking for something new to add to the mix. Any suggestions?
I listen to anything by the way...not just this sort of music. Favs include Counting Crows, Keane, Local Natives, Motown, Dixie Chicks, Amy Winehouse, Joss Stone, Mat Kearney, and on and on...

The late lamented Warren Zevon is worth your time. He combined rockin' his cheeks off with very literate, hard-bitten flowing lyrics. Here's a 1 hr concert film of him (broken out by song--feel free to skip around) in '82 when he was on his game and playing in the best of settings--Northern New Jersey--reasonable sound, muddy film. BTW, this show
Night Music with David Sanborn ran for 3 years in the late-'80's--all the episodes got something goin' on (the modern equivalents include Darryl Hall's fine show q.v.). I didn't look but am sure all episodes are freely available. Happy hunting.
