I'm not sure "artist" is the correct term, as 99% of pop is manufactured.
So many choices...Most recently, I'd have to say Secondhand Serenade. The whiny voice...The cliches...The horror... A song like "Fall For You" encapsulates almost everything that's wrong with music these days: all whining and no substance.

It's forever a tie between Kenny G and Michael Bolton. If I had to choose, I guess Bolton is slightly worse...it all depends on whether the rape of "Sittin on the Dock of the Bay" is more offensive to you than the rape of "What a Wonderful World".

I'd have to say that I pretty much hated those 90s boy bands: Backstreet Boys, Nsync, and all the other ones. UGH! That and when I heard Paris Hilton sing I almost threw up.
