Probably repeating myself, but I've been listening to a lot of Fleet Foxes of late. Just love those harmonies. Very earth stuff - reminds me a bit of old CSN&Y

i like the Fleet Foxes first album Jerome, didnt like the secodn one though...found to to be exactly the same as the debut one,

its funny how people view things differently, i associate their harmonies with Beach Boys?

you should try the album by Father John Misty, its a solo album from one of the FF's

ROY WOOD "singles" cd, 1993.

for those who are saying or thinking...who the heck is Roy Wood?, i can guarentee you have heard of him and probably even some of his material...
firstly, he was the principle vocalist, writer of 1960s UK band The Move...
The Move also comprised of Jeff Lynne,Bev Bevan later known as ELO...
when Wood heard Beatles "i am the walrus", "strawberry fields forever" he wanted to create a band that encompassed both rock and roll guitars and strings...
anyway,by about 1971 The Move had scored some 20 UK top20 hits...Wood decided to go ahead with his mix of classical music and rock combination and he formed ELO with Lynne,Bevan and ELO was born...after their first album was released both Wood and Lynne were fighting for control of the band, despite Roy Wood being the founder of ELO he was booted out and he went on to form glam rock outfit Wizard with two other original members of ELO...
over the next decade Wizard and/or Roy Wood,as a solo artist, were rarely out of the UK charts...
by the nedof the 1970s Wizard had disbanded, and Wood went into production, by 1986 he formed "dr and the medics"(he didnt sing with those guys though), they had a huge hit with a cover of the old "spirit in the sky" song...after they had a couple of other hits, Wood went back to knob-twiddling...
ok, enough of the history lesson...
twenty-one songs on here, ten from The Move, the remainder from Wizard and/or Roy Wood, theres a couple of songs i dont like on here, but its a very good collection from one of the most innovative musicians from the UK around 67-75(where these songs come from)...
Roy Wood's solo hit "i wish it could be christmas every day" still, to this day, makes its annual return to the UK singles charts...
songs like "blackberry way", "flowers in the rain", "ball park incident", "see my baby jive" and " i wish it could be christmas..." are classic songs from the late 1960s and early 1970s IMO...take a list to the links i provide and listen to the underrated genius that is ROY WOOD...

Don't ask why - I just like it. Always have. I am sure anyone in their mid twenties who actually takes the time to listen to this post/link must be thinking 'who is this nut'. (Now you know how I feel when I hear rap.) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9TbiIEpZ..._vAoSbspCd
