Sorry guys but I still like Rod better. Hope that's the one Scooter liked. I can't remember who sang the song.

A great one with Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon!! Susan was just in my area making another movie. My brother-in-law talked to her. I'm so jealous!!

LOU REED "new york" 1989

album chart stats: #40 US, #14 UK, #20 AU.

singles chart stats:
"busload of faith"......no chart action.
"romeo and juliet"....no chart action.
"dirty blvd"..............#42 AU.

fifteenth solo studio set from Lou, and my favourite of his...
song themes are very dark and mundane ...typical of Reed's style...themes include gay rights, religion, american excesses, marraige,US foreign poicy, drug addiction, domestic violence etc etc...
probably his best album since Transformer IMO, superb, lyrics, vocals, guitar work and melodies...
fourteen tracks on here, six i love, and eight i like, which gives a very good score of 2.4 using the MHRS or a converted 8/10.

RUSSELL MORRIS "retrospective" cd, 1978

one of the true legends of Aussie rock...
had most of his hits in the late 60s and early to mid 70s...
this is a compilation of his hits from that period...
song list starts off with a couple of almost psychaedlic sounds then heads off into rock and lovely ballads...
nothing on here i dont like, and listening to it again its difficult to see why this guy never made it big in the US and the UK...
pretty hard to go past "the real thing" as great psychadelia,"rachel" as a ballad, "the gil that i love" is almost Bee Gee-esque, then theres the aduld acoustic soft rock of "sweet sweet love" and "wings of an eagle" sounds almost like America to me?!....

I LOVE THIS LABUM

worst track: mr.america
best track: the wings of an eagle or the girl that i love

tracks:

1. hide and seek **
2. the real thing(pts I+II) **
