Not one favourite but many. I adore Ennio Morricone. Hans Zimmer. Gabriel Yared. Dario Marianelli. Michael Giacchino. And many others. I can't really pick out a favourite.

Ryuichi Sakamoto and Hans Zimmer...to name just two for now!

Mr. Hans Zimmer is my favourite composer and recognized as one of Hollywoodâs most innovative musical talents, having first enjoyed success in the world of pop music as a member of The Buggles.

There are two composers that stand out for me. Roy Budd wrote the beautiful and haunting music for the 1971 gangster film Get Carter. I listen to it regularly as its so good. Another is Paul Giovanni who wrote the equally haunting music for The Wicker Man (1973) which is one of my all time favourite films.

John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Michael Nyman, Vangelis, Ennio Morricone, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Wojciech Kilar... It's really hard to pick out my favourite... :/

John Carpenter's synthesizer soundtracks for his own films are always good, especially Assault on Precinct 13. Vangelis's themes are also worth listening to in their own right, such as Blade Runner and Chariots of Fire. My favourite is probably Keith Emerson's for Sylvestor Stallone's Nighthawks.
