At the moment... "Document" by R.E.M. Not my favourite R.E.M.-album, but I just realized it's been ages since I put it on. "The one I love" is as stunning as ever.

![]() THE BEATLES "sgt.peppers lonely hearts club band" cd, 1967 along with PF's"dark side of the moon" and "abbey road",probably the most recognizable album cover of all time! this was the first cd i bought, i also bought "making movies"(dire straits) and Dylan's "infidels" on the same day... bought it in 1987 when it was released on cd as part of the 20th anniversary of the album...i then had to go out and buy a cd player...LOL! this one, IMO, sounds more dated than any other Beatle album(ie ![]() im aware that this was groundbreaking stuff when it came out and acknowledge them and Geroge Martin for their foresight and ability to put their thoughts into words and music that no-one had ever heard, but alas, it does lack something for me! album did get to #1 just about everywhere, and upon re-issue on cd in 1987 it actually made it to #1 on the Aussie album charts all over again! only one song i dont like on here, George's "within you, without you", lyrically i love what he wrote there, but i cannot stand the sound of sitars(they do absolutely nothing for me at all)... the rest, well, they are split evenly between likes and loves..as a huge McCartney fan i am actually dissapointed with his songs on here(overall), much prefering john's allround performances), i mean stuff like "lucy in the sky" and "a day in the life"...thats about as good as The Beatles ever got... all up though, an essential piece of rock and roll that every music lover should own...! LOOK, IM NOT POSTING LINKS HERE...EVERYONE KNOWS THEM, AND IF YOU DONT, THEN, YOU PROBABLY SHOULDNT BE ON THIS SITE! I LIKE THIS ALBUM worst track: within you, without you best track: a day in the life tracks: 1. sgt.peppers lonely hearts club band ** 2. with a little help from my friends ** 3. lucy in the sky with diamonds *** 4. getting better ** 5. fixing a hole *** 6. she's leaving home *** 7. being for the benefit of mr.kite ** 8. within you, without you * 9. when im sixty-four *** 10.lovely rita ** 11.good morning, good morning *** 12.sgt peppers (reprise) ** 13.a day in the life *** 3s=6 2s=6 1s=1 rating: 2.3

Band Members for this release
Phil Collins â drums, percussion, lead vocals Mike Rutherford â guitar, bass, vocals Tony Banks - keyboards, vocals Artist Recording History studio albums - 15 live albums - 6 compilation albums - 11 ep's - 2 singles - 42 from my library (cd) ![]() The bands fourteenth and the last album with Phil on board. Two love tracks but four that fail, making it a low like for me. Parting with my brother on this one, as he rates it as their best work. This was their first album in five years and hit the top in the UK, with a #4 here and #8 in Aussie land. Very long album which was a double on vinyl. Two tracks were cut and only released as b-sides. The only Genesis I own on cd other than a compilation. I see that Since I Lost You as written for Eric Clapton after his sons death which gives it new meaning. Four singles released of which I Can't Dance fared the best here at #7. No Son Of Mine is my fav, a very depressing song and video. Janis or not  Crystal sings all types of genres but since this is rock well, I put it here. This was recorded early in her career. She has alot of videos on youtube. If you like check them out. Her Midnight Train To Georgia is great as she also plays the piano too. IMHO she is the best that was ever on AI
