Do Anything You Wanna Do by Eddie and the Hot Rods.
Hurry Up Harry by Sham 69. Does Rat Trap consttitute punk? Cos if it does, it's a corker.

Misfits definitely. Sex Pistols is a close second though.

I'd have to agree with the Pistols. I was a schoolkid when "Never Mind...." was released, and I loved it. It still stands for me as the defining UK punk album.
Didn't develop a taste for the original US stuff until much later, but I'd regard the Ramones early albums as essential.

Bad religion were around in that decade
offspring had some pretty good songs in their 1989 album and formed back in 1984.

Stiff Little Fingers -started late 70's - Was listening to them yesterday and they still sound great.
Have to admit though that my musical taste was pretty much cemented by hearing the Sex Pistols at an impressionable age. Can't seem to get the Misfits (except Die Die Die My Darling - which I love)- everyone says they're brilliant but I find I just don't want to listen to them. Sort of like God really - loads of people says he exists but I remain unconvinced!

Im going to definitly have to say, The Clash. I think they broke HUGE musical -and style- barriers.
Music is like Ice Cream to your ears.
