Joe Bonamassa - The Ballad of John Henry
This guy was right off my radar, until a work colleague put this in my hand.
Straddles the Blues/Rock margin, and in my view just comes down on the Rock side.
Seems to me he's a good guitarist who doesn't overdo it, and he sings a bit like Paul Rodgers.
Thumbs up :thumb:...

Lou Reed - Set The Twilight Reeling
Not one of Rock's Mr Grumpy's best. But most Reed albums are never less than stimulating...

Capercaillie - Nadurra
A blend of Scottish Folk and gentle melodic rock. A Scottish counterpart to Clannad.
Beautiful album...

'Do The Evolution', by Pearl Jam, from the album 'Yield'.
I've been buying Pearl Jam over the last two months: so far i've got 'Ten, 'Vs.', 'Vitalogy', 'Yield' and 'Pearl Jam' itself.
A Longing Day by A Broken Consort
I put it here since there's no section this fits into.

Mountains - Paper Windmill from Mountains [Apestaartje, 2005]
These guys are right up Steve's (Dogbreath) alley. He probably already has the new album (as do I), Choral. They play post-rock of the drone/folk/ambient variety.
EDIT: I should have posted this in the "Alternative/Indie" forum. Oops.

Robin Trower - The Day of The Eagle
This is yet another CD that someone at work has lent me (It's like being back at secondary school !!).
Compilation by Hendrix-soundalike Trower. This isn't really my bag, but it was OK.

Scott Walker - Scott 2
Second solo album from ex-Walker Brother, from the late 60's. A mix of covers & originals, all pretty "dark", and all brilliantly sung.
Inneffably cool, apparently...
Isis - Hand of the Host
Got my hands on their new album Wavering Radiant which is to be released on May 5th. Sounds awesome so far.
