NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS "push the sky away"
i was going to post this after a few listens, but my protocol is
post on a single listen, so here we go....
music is sparse on six of the nine tracks, the other three do
build up as the songs go on...
lyrically, this is a bit dissapointing, even though it is dark in
places(as one would expect of Cave), it lacks the feel of
most of his back catalogue...the songs for the most part
are too much of a muchness IMO, with very little i can say
that i would call "true nick cave tracks"...
i do not dislike anything here, but at the same time i struggled
to find many positives(and real likeable songs) except for the
one that i will link here as a sample piece.
look, all up not a bad album and one that will grow on me eventually,
but not the sort of place i would
recommend anyone to start their enterance into his music,
also, probably good for a lot of artists, but for a man of his
brilliance as a writer, this is below par, probably the worst
new release i have listened to this year so far, so a score of
1.6 would be about right here, this time, for "the prince of goth"
from the album:
"jubilee street" (the only genuine one i like so far)
