He's a bloody great guitar player, even if not quite my own cup of tea.

Posted here due to a thoroughly Funky influence...
Grace Jones - Living my Life
Reggae, Funk, & Disco combined to good effect. I know she's a bit of a controversial character, but this is a pretty good record.

Genius saxophonist, Dick Heckstall-Smith has only died in the last year or two and used to play with an old mate of mine in Alexis Korner's Blues Incorporated in the early sixties in London.

I'm listening to the "Delta Blues" station on Pandora, trying to give blues more of a chance.

Go to this page - http://wglt.org/streams/blues.phtml - and you'll find stream links to WGLT Blues 24/7 out of Bloomington/Normal, Illinois. Runs the entire gamut of Blues from Traditional to Electric. And if you want to see what else they have on there, their Homepage is at http://wglt.org/

I love Latin influenced Jazz and vocal Jazz. I am a huge fan of the genre. Can anyone suggest any good new artists? I am currently listening to Margo Reymundo. I am absolutely in love with her song My Heart’s Desire it’s so catchy. If anyone knows any other good artists who sound like her please let me know.

"To pianist Cecil Taylor 8ab" by Anthony Braxton.
I gotta say, Braxton is amazing... And he has one of the most awesome tones I've heard in a saxophone.

Toumani Diabate - The Mande Variations
This is actually Malian traditional music played on a Kora (Look it up !!). Doesn't belong here, but this is the nearest board to "roots" music.
Released last year, this album had some amazing reviews, with some justification IMHO. Won't be to everyone's taste, but I would urge anyone who thinks this might be interesting to investigate.
Stunningly beautiful music...
