John Lennon said in an interview shortly before his death in 1980 that"procal harem's 'whiter shade of pale' is the greatest song ever written"....now that says something about how good that song is if a Beatle makes a statement like that!

also, that is the only sinlge of theirs that i own....bloody awesome track, i should track down an album....any ideas anyone what i should look for,anyone?

One of those rare tracks where, when the guy hits the very first note, you just know what's coming.

And incidentally, if used correctly would have made a great contribution to the Olympics opening ceremony. They just left out so many classics in favour of the 'trendy' ones.

i actually popped into Tems record/cd store this afternoon on the off chance he had some PH albums on the shelves and bugger me if he wasnt unpacking an order that had two albums...

i bought:

A Salty Dog
