![]() B.B KING & ERIC CLAPTON "riding with the king" cd,2000. collaboration of two of "blues rock's" two best known artists and this one doesnt dissapoint(even though im not a bluesy type of guy) we see the pair of them trading guitar licks and vocals like they have been doing it all their lives...ooops,sorry!, i guess they have! both are in fine form here and B.B especially shows how good he is at some 70 something years of age, several covers on here from the 1930s/40s by artists ive never heard of and an interesting cover of soul man Sam & Dave's "hold on,im coming"... theres something on here for everyone from real slow old time blues through to real raunchy rock & roll blues. nothing on here i dont like, but at the same time theres nothing i can say i love neither, just an all round good solid album of blues by two of the best in the business! oh yeh, interesting to note that as youre listening to the album you hear BB and his guitar through one speaker and Eric through the other which gives the impression that these guys are sitting opposite eachother playing/jamming the blues rating: 2.0 from the album: riding with the king http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5T5qDRxbpM audio marry you http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpVhbaQl8...ure=relmfu audio help the poor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ei4qcgNH...ure=relmfu audio

![]() I've said before, Tony was never one of my favorite crooners. But off the top of my head, he'd probably come in the top 10. This compilation is good enough for a love rating. His first 20 years are covered here. Well maybe not covered, but with a thin veil. A lot of albums put out in those years, 52-72. The year 1972 was the end of Tonys contract with Columbia, thus a nice double album compilation was in order. Even surprised me with nine love tracks of the 20. Have to side with most in that I Left My Heart In San Franciso was his best track ever. Not sure which of these tracks were actual hits, other than that one. Gotta be some filler in here. Two tracks I don't care for at all. Can't believe the man is still going after 60 years in the business. Haven't cared for much he has done lately, but I think he has paid enough dues for any accolades he may receive. Carry on Mr. Bennett. I LOVE THIS ALBUM Worst Track - Sing You Sinners Best Track - I Left My Heart In San Francisco The loveliness of Paris seems somehow sadly gray The glory that was Rome is of another day I've been terribly alone and forgotten in Manhattan I'm going home to my city by the Bay I left my heart in San Francisco High on a hill, it calls to me To be where little cable cars climb halfway to the stars The morning fog may chill the air, I don't care My love waits there in San Francisco Above the blue and windy sea When I come home to you, San Francisco Your golden sun will shine for me 1) Something ** - nice concert clip from the time live - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MUxR-JDlCWg 2) Where Do I Begin *** live - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iM3yRh1tXHw 3) Maybe This Time ** 4) Just In Time *** audio - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXX8bIE-0x0&feature=fvst 5) For Once In My Life ** - I like Stevie's better live - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahf1U3Jsaro 6) Firefly * 7) The Shadow Of Your Smile ** - Andy Williams show live - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQS_NyR7qqM 8) Put On A Happy Face *** audio - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTYf-7shaaE 9) Love Look Away ** 10) Rags To Riches ** audio - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y22tIJ6toPY 11) A Time For Love ** 12) Who Can I Turn To *** live - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8_034-l-aU 13) This Is All I Ask ** audio - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=na1ynVboGGA 14) Smile *** - love this by anybody, beautiful song audio - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFMuPmtNwUw 15) Sing You Sinners * live - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXonuHweDnE 16) I Left My Heart In San Francisco *** audio - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9ZkMUv3_5U 17) Because Of You *** audio - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-4zvArJDGg 18) Boulevard Of Broken Dreams ** audio - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAW-BUtTmyc 19) Stranger In Paradise *** audio - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzA8gwfJr9I 20) I Wanna Be Around *** audio - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3s0uFWsPRyQ 3's - 9 2's - 9 1's - 2 Grade - 2.4 allmusic - 2.6
