The Setting Sun is a new digital-only EP from the Echospace/Deepchord crew. It is digital only because the three tracks total almost 90 minutes. This particular one clocks in at a hour. They have really stretched the ambient dub out this time.

Telefon Tel Aviv - The Birds from Immolate Yourself [Bpitch Control, 2009]

Telefon Tel Aviv's third album, their first since 2004. I expect it to be great. I'm listening to it right now for the first time.

K.K. Null - Galactic Tornado 2

Combining synthetic sounds from various synthesizers and electronic machines with acoustic audio signals, the composer explores (from his own point of view) some artistic values of “psychedelic electronic sound” that were widly presented on space/electronic/kraut albums from 70s.

Mercury Rev - Snowflake Midnight

"What are an alternative rock band doing in here" I hear you ask...

Well:

- This sounds nothing like Mercury Rev, with the exception of Jonathan Donahue's vocals

- I don't think anyone listening to this would question that it's by an electronic artist, except those that recognise JD's vocals

So there you have it, a Mercury Rev electronica album. Nothing revolutionary, but very enjoyable IMHO.
