ANATHEMA - Weather Systems (April 16, 2012)

I don't know where to start with this album! I have been listening to it online for weeks! It is one of my favorite albums and definitely my favorite of 2012 so far.

Anathema is a five member rock band from Liverpool and this is their ninth studio album. Weather Systems is a concept album with continual vocals by brothers Danny and Vincent Cavanagh and female singer Lee Douglas. The album is intended to move the listener and it certainly does! The concept here is simply about life in general with lush orchestration and beautiful acoustic guitar.

1 Untouchable, Part 1
2 Untouchable, Part 2
3 The Gathering of the Clouds
4 Lightning Song
5 Sunlight
6 The Storm Before the Calm

Good stuff, thanks. This band has been recommended to me by Amazon based on buys I've made and now I'm sure that I will be getting this one and probably some of their others.

[SteveO]

Burkey, start at A Natural Disaster and We're Here Because We're Here! They started off 15 years ago as a doom metal band quite a drastic change as they have evolved into an excellent prog rock band in the past ten years or so! You won't be disappointed with Weather Systems and the other two!!!!!

Good stuff, thanks. This band has been recommended to me by Amazon based on buys I've made and now I'm sure that I will be getting this one and probably some of their others.

Good stuff SteveO - I was hooked from the first note. A must buy! Been looking for a new band/sound for a while now that I can really relate to. I think I have found it. Thx for the recommendation. Awesome.

[CRAZY-HORSE]

listening to the links fully this time i like it even more, my favourite track is The Beginning Of The End, unfortunately tracks two and four seem to have been removed from youtube so i could not re-listen to them again
