As some of you know on MD, I prefer a live album over a studio album. I realise that there aren't too many live albums out there compared to studio albums so of course I do my share of listening to studio releases also.
However, once in awhile a music video comes along that moves me emotionally ! Such is the case when an artist or band connects with the audience ! This is what it's all about ! The fans singing along to the group's songs that they have purchased and sung to before at home.
In my own humblest opinion, nothing compares to a live concert and the next best thing is the Live video !

It's been over 20 years or so that we first heard Nothing Compares 2 U by the controversial Irish songstress Sinead O'Connor. Here is a simply incredible performance by Sinead in 1988 ! Just the artist and a guitar live...the gal really belts it out here !!!...wow !!!! the ultimate musical experience ! ( never mind the short hair ...lol)

Actually I was a little surprised they won considering they're not what you call mainstream pop ..which usually wins !

I lost it..misty eyed... when Jade lost her hat and started dancing with Alex ! There's something about the power and sheer joy of large orchestra rock bands( I think there's 12 members) ...like Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Arcade Fire and Broken Social Scene !..they just explode with enthusiasm and great music !!! I have their first one ..Up From Below ...you mentioned the group awhile ago MH ..so I checked them out and luv em ! Can't wait for their next one - Here - in May of this year !
