hi and welcome to MD 'composer from NYC"....
you are more than welcome here...but please remember it is against MD's policy to allow self-promotion here on the boards, other than that you should be fine mate!

I'm sorry but i didn't know that 'sharing your music' is self-promotion...so if a composer can't post his work and music on a music website, what's the point of the site?

Just google my name and you'll see my site and youtube page, don't want to post it here otherwise I will transgress and commit the greatest sin of all and that is 'self-promotion'...I wish I knew what's up with today's music sites, they became so strange...

I understand your dilemma. Will have a look & listen.
Just listening to your stuff now. BLOODY AMAZING. First class material. You are one seriously talented man. Wonderful to listen to. Busy with the Venetian Gondola song at the moment. Chose that one first because I have very fond memories of Venice. I remember sitting on a piazza that had big sculptures of human heads (can't remember the name of the place) and there was a violinist and an acoustic guitarist playing - wonderful times. Magical place, if rather overpriced.

Thank you Jerome, I'm really glad you enjoyed my music. You should know that I share my music with everyone free of charge, I don't make money from my music, and that's ok, I have a job where I earn a living and music is something on the side. Therefore I was surprised by the whole 'self promotion' thing. There is no self promotion at all, cause no money or business is involved. People should just enjoy music, is that too much to ask?
Best Regards,
Saul

You should be marketing your music to film companies, There's a place for your material in the movie industry for sure. Licence your music to sound libraries and if it's used you might make a steady income on the side. Do you record your material in a professional studio/home studio?

Thanks Jerome, that's a good idea, someone else also suggested it to me, just didn't follow through, I'll check it out, thanks. I record myself in my own home studio.
